Our Vision
The Vonsson Group (TVG) is a consultancy that helps organizations unlock the power of imagination to build meaningful, people-centered solutions. Founded by award-winning poet, educator, and cultural strategist Dasan Ahanu, TVG brings an artistic approach to strategic design, using art, culture, and community insight as both a foundation and framework.
We call it imagination work.
It’s the ability to envision new possibilities, explore unconventional pathways, and create strategies that move with people—not just processes. At TVG, we don’t simply “think outside the box.” We question whether the box belongs in the room at all.
TVG works with corporate teams, academic institutions, foundations, and nonprofits looking to deepen connections and engagement, reach farther, and increase capacity through creative, iterative design. Our methodology centers on human-centered design, imaginative thinking, and community-mindedness, values that help organizations become more adaptable, innovative, and inclusive.
We believe that creativity is infrastructure. That imagination isn’t abstract; it’s actionable. Creating space for curiosity and courage unlocks the ideas that move people and missions forward.

Creative Exploration

We center the community in all our work. Varying experiences, expertise, perspectives, skills and talents, and dreams can be found in a community. When space is created for what each member brings to the table, then the breadth and depth of what can happen grows exponentially.
